My undergraduate degree specialized in Composite Materials Engineering giving me a fundamental understanding of the manufacturing and behavior of both thermoset and thermoplastic composites. As an undergraduate, I worked for Celanese Corporation where I discovered my passion for thermoplastic composites. I am now a PhD candidate at Florida State University working toward understanding how manufacturing parameters affect the mechanical properties of PEEK, PEKK, and PPS thermoplastic composites. I am a firm believer that thermoplastic polymer matrices are the next evolutionary step for high-performance composites. Engineering of materials has always played an immense role in pushing forward our worlds’ technology, and with my passion and skills, I intend to be at the forefront of innovation.
